摘要: Parallel-in-Time (PinT) computation is an active research area in recent decades and many algorithms are proposed so far. In this talk, I will explain the basic idea for all popular PinT algorithms via the understanding of preconditioning technique and introduce the fundamental theory concerning convergence rate of these algorithms. I will also explain the interesting application of this kind of numerical methods for time-dependent optimal control problems.  

报告人简介: 吴树林，东北师范大学教授、博导，2010年5月博士毕业于华中科技大学数学系，研究方向为发展方程快速算法设计、分析与应用，主要从事发展方程PinT (Parallel-in-Time)算法研究。近年来，以第一(或通讯)作者身份在SIAM系列刊物发表论文16篇，同时在Numer Math、 ESAIM系列、IMA数值分析、JCP等刊物发表多篇PinT研究论文。2025年，以通讯作者身份应邀在Acta Numerica (数值年鉴)上发表时间并行研究领域综述性论文。曾获得法国科学院院士Yvov Maday、法国国家数学研究中心主任Pascal Hubert以及世界区域分解算法大会主席Laurence Halpern的邀请，分别于2018年、2022年和2026年在相关国际会议上做时间并行计算大会邀请报告。主持国家自然科学基金面上项目3项以及四川省杰出青年基金，研究工作同时得到国家自然科学重大项目资助，入选中国科协青年人才托举工程、吉林省青年拔尖人才并主持国家级人才项目。
