报告题目一：Quick introduction to Maxwell's equations and metamaterials

报告摘要：In this talk, I'll first give a quick introduction to Maxwell's equations in both frequency and time domains. Then I will start with a brief discussion on the origins of metamaterials, and their basic electromagnetic and optical properties. Finally, I'll derive the governing equations when metamaterials are involved.

报告题目二：H(div) and H(curl) elements

报告摘要：In this talk, I'll introduce the divergence and curl conforming finite elements on various elements, such as on tetrahedra and triangles, and hexahedra and rectangles.Their constructions and interpolation error estimates will be covered.

报告人简介：李继春教授，获南京大学学士学位、佛罗里达州立大学博士学位。曾任德克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校博士后研究员和加州大学洛杉矶分校纯数学与应用数学研究所副所长，现任湘潭大学湖南省“百人计划”特聘教授，内华达大学拉斯维加斯分校数学系教授。研究领域包括有限元方法、高阶紧致差分方法、RBF无网格方法以及偏微分方程在多个领域的应用。发表SCI论文150余篇，出版专著2部（其中一部在著名的《Computational Mathematics》Springer系列出版，第43卷，Springer出版社，2013年）。2022年，在Research.com网站2022年版的数学前1000名科学家排名中，李继春教授全美排名第965位，全世界数学家排第2261位。目前担任《Results in Applied Mathematics》的主编和《Computers & Mathematics with Applications》的执行主编（均由 Elsevier出版）。
