摘 要:Minimumerror discrimination is a general approach for quantum state discrimination. This work establishes a connection between quantum imaginarity and minimum error discrimination,investigating the conditions under which auxiliary quantum states can enhance the maximum average success probability (MASP) with real positive operator-valued measures (POVMs), or even achieve the MASP attainable with general POVMs.Weprove that an auxiliary quantum state is non-real if and only if it can enhance the MASP attainable with real POVMs in the composite system. In particular, for pure states, only auxiliary maximally imaginary states can achieve the unrestrictedMASP.Furthermore, the difference between the assisted MASP with real POVMs and the MASP can be used asanimaginarity measure for the auxiliary states. Our results demonstrate that the assisted discrimination efficiency quantifies the operational advantage for the fixed discrimination task.
报告人简介:郭志华,陕西师范大学数学与统计学院教授,博士生导师。研究方向是算子理论与量子信息。近年来以第一作者或通讯作者身份发表SCI学术论文40余篇,目前主持国家自然科学基金面上项目1项。入选陕西省青年科技新星以及陕西省高层次人才特支计划——青年拔尖人才。。
